David Rach - Director
David is the owner and founder of Live Free. He has lived in the Rockhampton region for 40 years and has a family with seven children and four grandchildren. Five of David’s children and three grandchildren have disabilities.
David has worked in the disability industry for twelve years and has gained extensive experience in all facets of supports and management including:

Who is Eligible to Access NDIS Funding for Disability Services?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides support and services to people with significant and permanent disability.

- Be aged less than 65 years old
- Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a protected Special Category Visa

What is NDIS Short Term Accommodation?
NDIS funded Short Term Accommodation provides short term breaks for people with STA or Core Supports funding. STA includes all expenses in a 24 hour period including accommodation, meals, personal care, and assistance with daily living.

What is the NDIS Code of Conduct for Disability Services?
The NDIS Code of Conduct promotes ethical and safe service delivery of disability services.
The code requires that NDIS providers and workers:
- Act with respect for individual rights to freedom of expression, self-determination, and decision-making in accordance with relevant laws and conventions
- Respect the privacy of people with disability
- Provide supports and services in a safe and competent manner with care and skill
- Act with integrity, honesty, and transparency
- Promptly take steps to raise and act on concerns about matters that might have an impact on the quality and safety of supports provided to people with disability
- Take all reasonable steps to prevent and respond to all forms of violence, exploitation, neglect, and abuse of people with disability
- Take all reasonable steps to prevent and respond to sexual misconduct
How Do I Make a Complaint to the NDIS About My Disabilty Services?
The NDIS welcomes your feedback. At any time, you can submit a complaint, provide a compliment, or offer a suggestion to help improve the NDIS disability services provided to you.
